The prices in Manhattan are continually going up. Other areas have settled down and some have even depreciated over the last year. You are really looking at long term renters in NY as opposed to doing a short term / vacation rental in Florida. I would weigh the pros and cons of each. If you were to invest in the Orlando market I would look at properties that are close to Disney with full featured amenities. The closer to the parks the better. The second option would be to look at the new properties on international drive near the convention center.
