Hi Giraffe, I am basically in the same positiion as you, I have been looking for a good while with my girlfriend, we essentially wanted to buy Morocco within one of the new King Azur project resorts - (which might i add can basically have the same argument about flights as there is on here about Natal) I wanted to buy there, and actually did place a reservation down, only to stop, put a foot back and pull out as i realised i just couldnt afford the 70k off plan asking price. So I opted for Brazil myself.
It is very difficult to weigh up alot of the arguments and discussions on the forums, I do not attack golfingworld - as i have stated before, I think it is a good thing to feel the negative vibe at times, because if plans may go wrong, well you have not lived on false hope. I do however, believe Brazil to be a fantastic opportunity and the negatives have not changed my thoughts really. I believe things will change over there. In time. It is very easy to get sucked into the positives from someone and at the same time follow someone on the negative side. There is an investor - who I watch his posts colsely on another forum - he is very clever and knowledgeable jsut like Golfingworld - a very respected investor who in alot of peoples opinions has never made a foot wrong basically. He has just bought around 4 plots of land N E Brazil - however it took him a while - he did not first believe in the place, now he has.
My point is at the same time of following someone who can worry you about alot on your investment, there are also people and investors who can tell you a different story.
Its down to personal belief and choice at the end of the day!
