My agent has recommended Live Overseas,[url=http://www.live-overseas.co.uk] apparently they have dealt with GofFed before too.
Advantage is they are in London. (having dealt with a lawyer in the foreign country I was buying in before this is not to be underestimated!). Disadvantage is I think they are expensive at an all inclusive price of £8000 about 5% of purchase price (pp):
Lawyers £1100
Stamp duty (2.5% of pp) £3400
Notary (1% of pp, or min of £1725) £1700
Notary taxes (0.5% of pp) £690
Registration fees (1% of pp) £1380
power of attorney £150
What price have you been quoted using just a notary? Anyone else have quotes from lawyers ?
