I think what she's driving at is if the company is small or large. Naturally a larger, well-known company with a history would be considered safer to invest with then a smaller, lesser-known company, given the history of the large company is a good one.
Yet one must still be careful. Just because a company or agency is offering numerous different properties in many different places throughout brazil doesn't mean he is legitimate or more credible. The "grifters" that I have came to know here in Brazil were/are currently offering numerous brazilian properties/developments from the far south, to the far north.
Nothing beats doing your homework. And I must agree with golfingworld with what he continues to say, and that is investors must travel to brazil, see what they like, attempt to find some people they can trust, attorneys, etc. And as others here have mentioned, ALWAYS get an independant lawyer!! Don't take advice from the developer, the agent, or a "friend" of the developer or agent in regards to an attorney or accountant. This is something that must be derived on the part of the investor, from a source he generates that is completely and 100% independant of the developer/agents.
