Dubai sports city is a good area but lacks good developers at the moment. I am not saying that the current breed of developers are bad but the big boys have not made their presence felt there.

If the investment is not a strain on your pocket you should think of keeping it. Has the construction started ??, if it has then you will see the prices going up. People want to see tangible assets.

Don't forget you will have all the academies coming in there. Golf, hockey, cricket ( ICC will be relocating their offices there ), football ( Manchester united ), Tennis ( John LLoyd tennis academy ). Dubai will be pitching for international sporting events and competing for the Olmpics eventually.

Imagine trainees coming in throughout the year. The ideal place to lay their hats is a studio or 1 bedroom. Have you thought what short term rentals can do to your property.

This place will do well. I have my hands into enough of investments and cannot put in anymore.

As the saying goes " Don't wait to buy property - buy property and wait ". Location and developers are other aspects one should look for. Don't panic and sell. Weigh the aspects, probably you can tell the developer no payments till construction is up. If Escrow covers your development, then the payments will be bound byphases of construction.

In a year from now, I will be lookin at sports city for a studio or 1 bed.

Good luck with your decision.
