Update on Delay
Nahkeel general number 04-3903333 the helpful lady on the switch board tried her best to fob me off.
Any one having dealt with Nakheel should not be surprised. I still shake my head in wondering how in the blazers did they ever get the Dubai Water Front project given that The International City is one of their first projects and look how it has progressed. lack of information in a timely fashion is my biggest gripe.
Back to the hand over. Nakheel insist that Building owner is notified 1 month or more in advance. I requested the exact hand over date of my building. Nakheel answered we only give this information to Building Owners.
So rang the agent back again armed with the information that Nakheel advise Building Owner 1 month in advance of hand over date. Office girl then admits yes hand over date was known (20th Jan) how ever Nakheel are holding up hand over and have stopped hand overs (any one else heard this ??) Rumour being that a Community Management Arrangement is being thrashed out and that Nakheel will not put this in writing ( convenient for every one) Sounds like they are trying to sought out a Body Corp document why this was not done earlier or based on other countries working examples.
I did read that a fact finding mission was impressed with the Australian Body Corp model and would properly used that here in Dubai with apartments.

Wednesday is a training day you are going to be lucky to track some one down I did today however the number given went to an automated voice mail box that informed me to leave a message then informed me sorry mail box full you can not leave a message!!
