sad, but true...in my opinion....
...the truth is people, from my experience anyway, that the developers in Dubai are making HUGE gains from foreign investment BUT they also think NOTHING of their foreign customers. There is another user on this very forum who is condemning customer service levels generally in DUbai. I also second his opinion and believe me, it is for that VERY reason that I have decided to sell my apartment in IC Phase III and part company from Dubai. I once believed in the hype but not any more. You cant get any information out of the developer EVER. It is a huge struggle to get any response from anyone in Dubai, via email, phone or fax. Its like banging your head against a Brick Wall. When you do get help its normally someone telling you to contact someone else...they love sending you chasing for information. They cant be bothered. In honesty, having been Dubai many times, I have experienced generally that they dont understand and value customer service - something i value as a priority especially if im pumping lots of money into a company. I have luckily managed to re-sell my apartment. Yes everything is delayed, but they NEVER tell you for how long (theyre probably lying anyway) and also those service and maintenance charges in your contracts, well expect them to double when constuction is complete. Nakheel has done this very thing to IC Phase 1apartments. Theyll certainly do this in Phase III. Dubai would be a dream place - its a great country - but i feel the people behind that dream (the developers) are going to ruin it for everybody if they dont sort out the fact that communication is key.
