The general conclusion is that it IS possible to

than 200 British pounds. How is it possible?

easyJet.com - book cheap flights, hotels and car hire online
Thanks for Queenie.
A good connection between Sharm and London,
sometimes at very reasonable prices.

Here you can find VERY good flights between
Cairo and Germany. Sometimes very cheap.

Thomsonfly.com - The low fares airline. From 20 UK airports to over 80 destinations - Farefinder
Also good offers. Flights between Sharm and
England. Moreover, there is also a possibility to
buy a very cheap ticket from Israel to England.
Some people may prefer to fly from Israel.

Let us hope budget airlines will also get
interested in Egypt.

Anyone who lives in Ireland (North or South) are completely stuck because we have to fly to one of the mainland airports first, try and get the flight times to tie in and then fly on to hurghada. The connecting flight can cost anything up to £100 each!!!!

The prices I quoted might seem expensive to someone who lives near either Manchester or Gatwick but it's not for us, as we can get good connecting flights in the german airports and not spend hours on end in the airport (as we had to last time in gatwick).

Hopefully this will change in the near future but at the moment you can only fly from Dublin to Sharm on a package deal.
