Moving to Dubai in need a house urgently
Check with your employer first. If you are going to work for a major, they may keep accommodation listings or even retain an agent. If you're working for a smaller firm without those benefits and two weeks proves too ambitious to sort it out (which I think it might) some of the hotels have suits and furnished residencies on monthly and weekly rent. I did 5 weeks with the family in a suite in the Hilton residences in Abu Dhabi while we were looking for permanent accommodation. The advantage was we could take our time looking for somewhere we really liked, and not just signing for one of the first places we saw, just because we needed accommodation.
Regarding your personal paperwork - you'll need residency and a bank account in place, before you can sign a rental agreement, but there's nothing stopping you looking when you arrive and sticking a couple of thousand dirhams deposit to hold it for a couple of weeks.
Good luck with the move
Thanks
