Dear Alison,
Point with El Hayat Sharm's developer is that he has utilized the funds he collected from the project in another project called "Marina View Residence" in Marsa Alam!!! Which has led to many undesired results, either in time or in internal quality! Add to that the fact that the police forces have collected and abandoned all their workers many times in order to secure Sharm in prior to many peace conferences held here. I feel sorry really, because the developers used to be friends of mine, and we are still on good terms together, but things have gone slightly the wrong way between us because of the complaints I got against the development, and also because of another legal issue since I was representing their British partner in Marsa Alam's project, but it's all fine now. However they are people with good intentions but they had shortage in funds and in laborship.
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
I cut writing this message after the last line and called the developer by phone. I got a verbal promise that they will reach a satisfactory settlement with the purchaser whom I said has preferred to hide his name for now. They promised me to make him happy! However if he was unhappy - as they said - then we can always sue them for delay. However it can be solved amicably and if he was ruly happy with what they would offer as amicable compensation then thiswould be better and faster.
All the best,
Zeiad Yehia
