Yes, that would be the case I believe.

Looking at these 2 charts would be useful

GBP to USD Share Price Chart | GBPUSD=X | | Yahoo! Finance UK

GBP to AED Share Price Chart | GBPAED=X | | Yahoo! Finance UK

see the peak in November when GBP = 2.1 USD, GBP = 7.7 AED

As the dollar weakens against the (mighty) pound sterling, we get more
Dirhams.
