Dear Wayne,

Multi-entry visa is merely used for the purpose of moving from acity to another within Egypt. Single entry visa is valid only in the city of entrance. Residency visa is a 1 year visa that is obtained from visa department in any city, and it makes you eligible for many things, but mainly getting involved in legal acts (and this is why it is required to issue a PoA locally), and it even gives you nice discounts in hotels!

Each visa is valid for its holder only, subsequently it does not change wife's or kids' positions.

All the best,
