If you understand what is happening with Shiite and Sunni muslims in Iraq then you are one step closer to understanding what happened in the intercommunal strife in Cyprus in the 60s ....
Suffice to say that it is not wise to blame the peoples of any side for a problem which owes its existence due to EXLUSIVELY exogenous factors and players like British colonial Divide & Rule policy. Then you have the United States' main policy makers and their personal vendetas with the Soviets and the Non-aligned movement and presto!!! Cyprus torn apart, divided and people like Deedee presenting Video documentaries which makes a "porn" out of our history in order to convince people to "invest" in our god forsaken place whose investment value is overshadowed by a rollercoaster of legal potential problems that can blow up in the face of the investor!!!
Since this forum is "Totally property" and not "Totally politics", all parties involved in making informed investment decisions, are obliged to look at unbiased information from a pure investment point of view i.e. Is this a bargain, can I make money out of it, WHY is it so cheap and could this be that cost is directly related to risk????
To all the Brits et al looking to retire or invest in the sun, don't be offended from what i wrote about the actions of your colonial leaders in the 60s and the suffering of our people as a result .... Do come to our island and buy property, we need your money ..... Just don't forget your brains on the plane!!!!!
To the likes of Deedee ..... DECLARE your BIAS when you give advice or offer "unbiased" documentaries about the so called "truth" in Cyprus. Cornholio i hope there is a solution but I am sad to say that our leaders might be trying to serve us cold food reheated......
