Sorry I haven't been back to you - these last few days I've been packing up and travelling back to Wales for the summer. I'm absolutely exhausted now I'm here!!
We have the Showtime package in Bahrain and actually it's not too bad - better than Orbit and they do have excellent coverage of all premiership matches. There's not a lot of UK programming - used to be much more - Coronations St (about 6 weeks behind UK) Emmerdale about 2 months behind. They're really good with new US series and we also get Sky News.
Hi Alison - MBC have 3 free to air channels and they're not too bad. One is a movie channel, the other is mostly American series and things like Oprah they also have MBC Action which airs US series like CSI. There's a few other Englsih language channels but nothing great. For holidays only I can't see the point of paying for satellite. Cheaper to take your DVD player and stuff that you've recorded before hand (films for instance).
