I have a reciever in my apartment and there are plenty of free channels you can watch without subscribing to showtime. MBC1,2,3,4. Fox TV, Selevision(which has a lot of Australian stuff but not home and away). I have been watching most of the European Championship on ZDF2(German channel) also many local satellite channels have US/English movies and series with arabic subtitles. There are also a couple of childrens channels in English.
