hi Lagarto ( name of small town near Aracaju )
i don't think brazil can be seen and judged as a whole, but each case is a case, and each region is different. If you ask me, do exist today oportunities , similar to 8 years ago ? then i will answer with a straightforward YES !! There are fantastic opportunities, but you must have a good nose to know where to invest, and what land to buy. Where the grow potential is.
Rool nr.1 : I don't buy land from developers, because they eat your profit. I buy land from native people.
I don't buy land from foreign land developers, their products usually are VERY expensive.
The best opportunities do not rely necessarly on beach front land, since most of it , almos everywhere, is already traded at top prices, with small price grow. But on the periferia of midsize citys and capitals. Investment in apartments and houses offer rarely a deal with big potential.
Big money is possible to be made, when, as i have done, you find big plots of land, that can be divided in smaller plots, with average 500sqm of size, and has potential to be sold to people of the middle class.
the Land with 300 hectars, which i have mentioned, is a bombastic deal.
To get a save return of at least 1000% in 5 years , is almost nowhere else possible.
