Your developer will (should) have arranged for the property to be connected to the mains electricity supply. All you have to do is visit the EAC office and put it in your name and to arrange payment. This does not take 10 days!!!

Before accepting delivery, you must check that the property is connected to the mains supply. If it isn't, you could end up with electricity provided by the developer from a 'temporary' generator - or by a 13 amp supply from someone else's property.

If the property you have bought is not connected to the mains supply, you should refuse to accept delivery - the property has not been completed.

Read through your Contract of Sale to see what it says about the provision of electricity.
