I bought a cheap pay as you go phone from my local 'phone warehouse', none of them are locked so you can get a sim and credit over there_very cheap. Mobinil topup instructions are printed numerically and easy to understand. Had to get a random egyptian bloke to top up my etisalat sim!!!
instructions were in arabic, as you would expect.
