Errm, that would be something along the lines of it reminding me of the village in The Prisoner ("I am not a number, I am a FREE MAN!"

And references to the 'lagoons' being somewhat akin to drainage canals in Birmingham.

I wasn't the one that mentioned the words 'Toytown' or 'The Truman Show' though (although I admit that I did snigger).

El Gouna - I apologize - I can now see that it has some good points as well (especially the little hut that sells cheap alcohol outside the brewery.) Oh, and the cinema, and Chiringito's, and the Thai and Indian restaurants.

I'm stll trying to save up for a deposit for an apartment here but, the way prices are increasing, I'll be lucky to buy a tent soon!

Ooops, drifting way off topic here. Marsa Alam is very nice too, I've heard (hopefully that gets it back on track).
