Bonnie66 - Dalaman and Sarigerme - you never get hassled?!! Of course you do! Hassling is a part of Turkish culture and has always and will always exist - ALL OVER Turkey - even in the non-touristic areas...it's just that in some coastal resorts the workers take it too far and that, I agree, is unacceptable....but this will include Dalaman as well.....maybe you are known that's why the hasslers leave you alone... However on a positive note, I have seen the Zabita (council police licencing staff) handing out big fines to hasslers (mainly restaurants and bars) in the area where I live......so lets hope this tactic will have the desired effect....in fact, as I read this thread it could be interpretted as hassling over the internet......as you all put in your pennies worth about where this lady should buy......(probably where you have agencies)....
Bethmol, in my opinion, TH4S and Cymrusolutions have answered your question....definitely holiday first....and don't even entertain the idea of buying a place until you have been to Turkey a few times.......and as you may have read in the national Turkish press....probably in the UK by now....be VERY careful who you buy from.....
