Well Peter, as I said if the power of positive thought works we'll be OK!

I like your comment to me that there is "an element of truth in what you (I) say"! Coming from an estate agent I think thats rich! LOL However no offence taken as I'm sure none was meant.

We really do hope that this turmoil passes Egypt by (then at least I have some investments intact), though I feel that you are perhaps a little isolated from the true effect this is having already in Uk and indeed elsewhere. People have been wiped out completely in some formerly "safe" investments, pensions have been hit in the same way, sales of cars have dried up, house prices dropping at astonishing rates (they needed to go down of course), and so on.

No doubt this causes some glee with ex-pats but they would do well to take a good look at their investments, where you keep your money, and so on as this will have a knock on effect and believe me, when you see institutions that have been around for over a hundred years disapear overnight, you realise that this is something that will not go away overnight. We know that some banks have been playing fast and loose with our money and have come unstuck, but even some rather boring and safe institutions have gone the same way.

Anyway, I'm not trying to be pesssimistic, but it's hard not to be when tens of thousands of pounds go missing overnight

You take care

Iain
