If you are looking for a school that offers the chance for your son/daughter to learn a language without having to worry about the leaglity of the opening/building licence then head inland to the villages (Coin, Ojen, Casares etc). A friends son went to the school in Istan and although was the only English kid there, it was a great experience and he was fluent Spanish in under 2 years. After that he went to Colegio San Jose in Guadlamina and then went to the senior school in Estepona (they offer a bus service from various points in Marbella and San Pedro to pickup and take them to school) Here is the link

San Jose
The main Private Spanish School is San Jose which is very highly talked about. This school goes from 3 years old to 18 years old. There is also San Jose Primary School in Guadalmina where children change at 11 or 12 years old to attend this school in Estepona.
Aloha College is noted for advertising the achievements of all their students in Essential who manage to gain entry to some of the best Universities in the UK, but do consider the great education system in the UK if you live in Spain, can afford to send them to boarding school and your wife wont be too emotional seeing them off at the airport.
