Hi All,

just wanted to re-iterate the comments from deedee1 on Big White Ski resort.
I'm a ski fan and had been looking for an investment ski property for in europe, Switzerland in particular. But didn't like the snow in Europe! Then I started looking at USA/Canada and skiied at Banff, Whistler, Breckenridge, lake Louise and Big White all on different occasions and took my time about it. Loved Big White the first time I saw it, and the 2nd time I bought a condo. It has been fully rented the first 2 seasons and I'm currently renting for the 3rd season. Rents are high so the return is good, where I have bought the quality is superb and the developer still lives there! Big White is great, especially for families. There are still condos to buy out there and because space is limited on the slopes, I'm guessing it won't last forever. If I had the cash, I'd buy another....

I can't say enough good things about Big White, and so far my investment has done well, I've paid of a large part of my Canadian mortgage and I'm going back this season for more skiing. (I'm from the UK)

Anyone looking at investing in Big White should do all of the obvious, check for decent developers and look out for a good location, quality of finishing, etc. Where I am is perfect, for me, but you may have your own ideas. Big White is 'mostly' ski-in ski-out but check what this actually means when you decide. Lower village tends to be livelier, ie noisier, Upper Village is more peaceful and still 5-10 minute walk to the shops and restaurants.
The winter olympics will add kudos, the 20ft+ of snow is great, the village is small but cosy and growing, the slopes, the snow, the people..... I could go on, and have, so hope this helps someone out there.

this is my first post, so be easy on me......
