Questions about Relocation To Bangalore
Hello bharat
it is actually very sad to read your post. You mentioned that u r from Mumbai now in States for the last 15 years that doesn?t make you an EXPAT in INDIA. You may get your salaries in $$$$ which are considerably higher than those who are more talented and efficient than you but still you wont be an EXPAT in India.
Regarding Bangalore - yes there is a hell of a traffic and lot of pollution, poor people, bad roads, corrupt officers, long queues and all those stuff which you would have perhaps forgotten during the last 15 years of ur stay in US.
What you get in return is the smell of motherland (i.e. if you could still feel it), sanskaar (for your two boys - trust me they wont leave u at an oldage home when your time comes if they learn / accept Indian culture), the opportunity to work with brightest and talented, work in a most challenging and rewarding environment (in ur own email u said ". . . . . what seems to be an excellent career opportunity"), opportunity to see smiling faces and genuinely happy people with such problems which will make you wonder how can they be so happy.
Your kids will have the opportunity to study at the best schools (and Bangalore have quite a few - I remember there is a school of Birlas in Bangalore) - but they wud still get lower grades (its %ages in India) from those who study paying a fee of US $ 1 per month while working, washing utensils, cooking.
Dude India doesn?t need an EXPAT . . . . it needs an INDIAN . . . . . and if cant be the son to your own MOTHER . . . . . . u better think!
Cheers!!
