Does anyone have any info re connecting flights from the UK to make the connection at Frankfurt without an overnight stay?
Sorry, I can't answer that question, but has anyone tried the Arkefly route through Amsterdam to Natal?

I had a strange experience- booked on-line with Terminal A -Amsterdam -Natal. My e-ticket showed "Crimea Airways" if I remember correctly, and that had me a little worried, however on arrival at Amsterdam I found myself on the Arkefly flight! It was fine - typically Thomsons - late take off etc- flight time I believe was around 9 hours. As for the new Frankfurt route, I am sure there must be some scheduled flights from the UK - easyjet was not good for Amsterdam connections without overnight stays. Online enquiries would sort it out. I normally now have to take the TAP flight from Lisbon.

Taps really good, but the connection can be a bind. The cost is 2,300 reais or less (normally 3,200 reais )including taxes so quite a difference.Thats why Brasilians are able to travel more overseas as its the same price as going to the Amazon from Natal at the moment and pay in parcelas too!

Dotty- TAP is really bad!! I will let GW tell his story, I dont want to spoil it for him!! My own experiences as well are not good, bad food bad service, and late schedules, poor customer relations led one person to tell me that the initials TAP stand for Take Another Plane!

Oh thats bad for you. Many years back they were horrendous, but have improved greatly and i have been very happy with their flights .It is sometimes difficult for the staff to give a good smile but no complaints I have to say.The good news is you can carry 64 kilos.

I've got to say I don't think TAP are as bad as their reputation which precedes them. They were given that nickname "Take Another Plane" in the 1980's and at that time (I flew with them between 4-5 times a year then) they rightly deserved it, but they have improved a great deal since then.

Last time I flew with TAP I spent 8.5 hours in Lisbon waiting for my flight. It was 6 hours before they would even supply us with water (and this was very late at night and everything was closed in the airport)!

Then again I flew Etihad (wannabe Emirates airline) recently and was 8 hours late with them as well, but they were much worse as they just bare-faced lied to us about helping us catch a connection, they nearly caused us to miss it instead.
