Brazil Flight Information!!

flight is amsterdam to natal, brazil. cost me £70 for flights from gatwick to amsterdam and £360 from amsterdam to natal. So cost £430 return which is great value. In July/August its twice that price. But that is what you have to put up with in high season. If the planes aren't full prices will come down 5 weeks before the flight though. I looked at London to salvador = £289 rtn and £120 rtn from salvador to natal also. But I'd rather combine a trip with amsterdam and have less flying time

Not actually too bad an article. Some bits I disagree with though. Saying Brazilians ignore you is not true! I think they are a great race of people. But to be honest if someone comes over here and can't be bothered to learn a few words of English then I am not exactly friendly and knowing how lazy English are and going to Brazil and exepcting them to be friendly. If you make an effort they are extremely friendly. Plus the food is great in brazil I'd be pretty pissed off to go there and find pints and sausage rolls, its what I go away to get away from. If those types of cretins stgay away from natal then it is for the good.

With regards to busyness it is only may at the moment! Its not exactly a month known for tourism! If natal wasn't making any money then I doubt tap would fly there 5 times a week. TAP charge the prices they do because there is no real alternative, especially if you want to go for more than a few weeks as that is all the charters allow generally. Watch over the next few years. As these developements get built the comnpanies are going to want to sell them and there will be investment in the area.

Brasilians are normally the happiest race on earth,but somehow in Natal the kind of go into Zombie mode and close down .Yesterday another fine example,visit The Ocean Palace Hotel to sing Happy Birthday.Hostess ordered a cake to be made,asks for the cake,shrug of shoulders,onto the next member of staff,same response until after about 30 minutes she gets her cake.A person who is quick thinking would pick up the phone and sort it out,problem solved ,but in Natal you have to chase people up ALL the time,whether it be waiting for furniture,waiting in the bank,nobody gives a time for anything ,nobody gives a glance or a thought ,so in general services are terrible in every sector(except for the exception of a few places were good management and training is in place)but thats what you get in a provincial city and the price you pay even when you walk in with a great smile and say bom dia............you may get a nod or nod off!
Vanessa said there is not a McDonalds here ,well she was wrong there,go in and order a triple big mac,3 milkshakes and an apple pie and you will probably wait 30 mins ,go into Burger King and you will wait 5 mins!

The Dutch airline Arkefly, part of the tui group were doing 2 flights a week to Natal, they have just recently cut this down to 1, this isnt just due to the out of season period as Arkefly did 2 flights all year round last year and they now only have 1 flight a week showing all the way until November. Anybody know why? Has another flight company started flying from Amsterdam also? Or has another international flight take its slot from a different country?

Not sure about Amsterdam to Natal, but the Condor Frankfurt to Recife flight started on Monday and was around 80% full. They now fly every Monday - could this be a reason?

Um, and what about Natal?The other options are flying via Rio and Sao Paulo , but that takes about 24 hrs with connections,so I guess Tap is the most flexible at present along with Fly Brazil .

Sorry, Dotty, I am confused - what do you mean 'and what about Natal?' Recife is just 40 or 50 mins flying time from Recife, is this not good for Natal?

It is only 30-40 min on a flight,but to fly Voe Gol(which i think is the only connection flight ) and I am almost certain that you need to be registered and resident in Brasil to fly on it ,but you will need to check .
