It has been mentioned in previous posts that they will not be flying here in Nov 2008/9due to lack of interest, but the company said the same the previous yr and still flew out.
I have been told that the Pestana had to improve the health and safety aspects of the hotel which they did to acomodate Thomson fliers for 2008/9 ,to then be told they will not be flying to Natal this year.So just go to the top to get the answers you want. The office worker usually never has the full picture.

I had a friend who runs one section at thomsonfly ask the person who runs the section that manages charters and the answer was yes they will start again.

Air Europa just started Gatwick to Salvador and I also hear that Air Europa is starting twice weekly from Madrid to Natal pretty soon.

but still none the wiser if Thomson start the flights again, lol! I still beg to differ with Robh on this one but time will tell. I ve flown with Thomson fly on this route 4 times and has always been reasonably full so it is a shame if it has definatly stopped for the near future, but as you will have read, certain politics, costs reasons and its merger with First Choice may have had a huge bearing on things this time.

Bottom line is Brazil should have at least one direct flight from northeast Brazil to Miami. And this is just one more reason why Brazil and lowlife Lulu refuses to enter into the world arena in terms of big league nations... Corruption and long histories of unethical business dealings prevents Brazil from ever being a world power, not to mention years of disorganization. A shame really when you think about all the natural talent they possess. Kinda like Brazilian soccer star Ronaldo, you have big bucks, a bright future then throw it all away.

That good news Robh if Air Europa have got in at Gatwick, Air Europa have been doing 4 flights a week from Madrid to Salvador for a while now and you can get these flights at around 670euros return which is not all that bad when considering TAP. If they are opening up at Gatwick I guess it may be a flight to Madrid first before onto Salvador, and hopefully the same for Natal if this rumour is true. Or have you heard its a direct London - Salvador??
Regards
Paul
