I'm new to this forum malarky and I suppose my honesty might be slightly strange but yes I do work in the industry and would be happy to share info or help on any issues if I can. I will not insult people by trying to sell my product on here, we have our marketing strategies.

I would like to pick some brains if poss though and see if any of you have heard of a project called Alphaville, Fortaleza?

Hi Lukes- Alphaville is a brand name and there is also an Alphaville in Natal. The condominium sells lots with an infrastructure of roads, lighting and amenities, and plot owners build their house. Here the lots are mega money and rich Brasilians buy them for the prestige or status of owning in Alphaville. Not a good investment in my opinion.

They have a condominium in Campinas and I think Sao Paolo as well. Not so sure if it a bad investment as the price of lots in Campinas have increased dramatically in recent years. As Michael said, it's all about prestige and status which are important considerations for Brazilians. Lots in Campinas are about 250 K, I am told. What's the price up there?

Similar price I believe around 200-250k R$. Then you build a house and now the price is what, 700k R$ or more? I dont think there is much upside now.
