Sorry , I know both airports and the beaches Ipanema and Cococabana in Rio!
Apart from that I know they are situated sufficiently south of the tropics to have distinct seasons and a real winter. That is why many Brasilians travel to the north for holidays in search of the warm sun. Property prices in Sao Paulo and Rio are pretty high as well in comparison to the north. A simple Google search will yield a wealth of info on the southern parts of Brazil as well as [property info there to compare with.

I guess if you want the lowest prices you have to look where no one else wants to buy!! The interior for example! If you accept that city property is more expensive than country property, then price is relative. First I need to know what type of property to compare. eg Beach apartments/villas, condominiums, off-plan and where, re-sales, - it is all relative. Paraiba is cheap in the north-east, so is Natal in comparison to Salvadore etc etc

Default Pipa

Found an interesting article on Pipa (on a website called FreeHouseAgent) near Natal, I have been told by countless people that this is a good place to invest although I hear prices are starting to rise rapidly.

You should look at Fortaleza, Ceara, it is growing rapidly and is gaining much attention from large Euro developers. See Taiba, Praia Das Fontes, Canoa.

Nearest International airport to Fortaleza is in Fortaleza.

Try Fortaleza - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia it's got a lot of pertinent information

Default Southern Brazil / Sao Paulo / Florianopolis

if you look into Southern Brazil (residential) than Campinas and some other small (> 500k) Cities around Sao Paulo are interesting due to their high grotwh of empolyment.

Form a second home / holiday perspective Florianopolis is worth a second look. Especially the south is not very well developed yet.

For further details you can contact me!
