recemtly read this article regarding David Beckham opening a football academy in natal -brazil!!

He is due to launch the project soon and has eveything in place already to do so!

Must mean they are confident in setting up the academy in brazil and the natal region!

Dee Dee, more beautiful "seeing the cup half full " again! Yes some marketing Company has thrown a shxx load of money at a celebrity beacuase itmight help them sell a sand dune 500 miles away. Ronaldo contributed nothing to Elegance Natal Pitch and Putt getting licences and Beckham will contribute nothing to getting an ATM machine in Genipabu. What they will contribute is a bit more hype on the radar which micht put a few more bums on seats, but that is about it.

Perhaps if Beckham had to wait in Lisbon for his £800 flight, or go through Gatwick and then pay a mickey mouse airport charge on the way home, he wouldn't be so keen to "take coals to Newcastle". But there again if you throw enough hype and money at a problem, someone might believe you! Guess what, I won't!

So you are basically saying that extra marketing, bringing attention to the Brazilian opportunities is pointless? You say it "may put a few more bums on seats" I thought that is what you keep saying everyone should focus on. Get "more bums on seats" as you eloquently put it so that the airlines increase flights. Perhaps airlines will consider the massive marketing of GNG with Ronaldo and Banderas, or this campaign with Beckham and discuss alternative routes and more flights. Meanwhile Bekham promoting real estate in Brazil will remind a huge number of fans all across the world that Brazil has a real estate market.

I don't even know what project he is promoting (well I do but it's not official yet) but the fact that Brazil is being mentioned and in the limelight again is good news for all investors, regardless of the outcome. News about real estate in Brazil keeps people focused on the country, which is what we need, along with more flights and an ice hockey ring.
