You will have no problems with the Banco Centro accepting your payment if it comes from HIFX's trust account. We have done many of these transactions from lawyer's trust account without problems as the money is sent in the buyer's name, which will be the same when using HIFX.

The only part I question is why do you need to use HIFX at all since they cannot get you a better BRL rate or save you any money on transfer fees. There is NO difference doing the transaction yourself.

There may well be a rational reason why the developer is using HIFX, but I don't know what it is, so if I was buying I would ask that question of the developer.

Rob.
Hi Rob,
What i did was buy US $ from Euros and then this gets sent to Brazil, see we cant actually gey our hands on reals, so we need US$ so HIFX give a much better rate then our normal high street bank.

This forum has exploded ! I looked in this morning and there are at least 8 new postings tonight!! I think its great, intresting reading, but some people are getting a little edgy, i am still going ahead and i have made my mind up..

I will check tomorrow again for more, this is better then any Soap Opera!

Guillermo,
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post on this forum.
I have viewed your site with interest and would like to add a few FAQs of my own.
What projects has your company successfully completed previously?
If as you state ,you do not make much profit on the land and villas but instead the hotel, why even bother with the former and just build hotels instead?
Does your company have any connection with Beachfront Brazil?
Who will be constructing the villas and what have they built before?
What is the Creci license number?
Will you be offering a managed rental income programme and how will you achieve the rates projected on your site?
Has the development been registered yet in the "registro do incorpocacao"
Do you offer an escrow facility to help safeguard investors funds?
Are deposits refundable if buyers do not wish to proceed after a site visit,
Look forward to receiving your reply,
W.

All this talk about Fortaleza, and the NE... Brazil is a huge country. Camburiou in the south is cool, so is Floripa. Voctoria is nice and Maceio.... wow, so many choices, then you have Chile and Colombia, where to start? Life is good...

You will do well to convince many people there is much "good" about Columbia!
We Europeans like Fortaleza and Natal because they have a superb climate, are easily accessible for us and have much shorter flight times.

I don't get it. Can someone explain it to me. what's the advantage of doing so. The only advantage I can think of would be to buy forward $ if it believed that $ will weaken againt the pound. Let's say 2.05. If in a reasonable time this value is reached. Then I could wait some time to hope for the $ to get stronger aginst the real, release the money and hoping that during the time it takes to get to the banco central the rate doesn't get much worse or if I get lucky it gets better. It doesn't make sense to me. please someone shed some light.

Ok one more time !! If we have Sterling or Euros, and we need Reals, we cant buy them,as the real is not currently offered as a trading currency like Swiss francs, US $ € or pounds, or Ran or Krona. So the ONLY currency it can be bought with is US $, which are excepted by the Centro Banco Brazil, as an incoming transfer, automaticly switched into Real, so any bank foreign transaction has to enter in Brazil US $. So instead of using our high street bank we use companies like HIFX, Currencies Direct etc, which offer better rates, & quicker transfers. I hope this is clear guys. Just go to their website. hifx dot com
