I've just joined the site, after thinking long and hard, would rather have emailed a few people on here directly but get the inpression this isn't possible till you get stuck in, seems some people want to be excited about the prospect of what this project means to them, and others just want to ruin that for no apparent reason, other than to make sarky comments... but hey we can't all be happy...

For those that are interested, Jan has updated his site a couple of times recently, and in the last few days/hours put a couple of photos of the Penthouse, he is racing ahead, you get really idea what it'll look like..

Me personally i have been there twice... 18 months ago and about 18 days ago.. and feel that this is something that those that want to, can get excited about, so if anyone wants any area or build photos... or just thinks that i can answer or just invigorate anyones flagging moral get in touch, i'm really keen... i have a good idea who i want to talk to after reading all the fun posts, and know that there is a select few that might be interested...

It was my first stab at buying property abroad, and was very dubious, even after being there, and meeting the relevant people, paying my deposit and having my contract stamped in front of me in the Notary, was still feeling this way, reason being, it felt too good to be true.. felt like something had to go wrong, it hasn't, and 18 months later on, am looking forward to my third holiday there..

The reason for the worry originally being as i said it seemed too good to be true, Jan the developer is willing to put himself out, sometimes finacialy to get what he likes to think will be the perfect development, from the buildings to the surrounding area, and his impact on it, as was mentioned before, he owns all the land around the site, and alot more than he lets on, going for a walk and looking at boundary posts will confirm this, so to him this is almost a project, and if there has been delays this is the reason, as he has designed and re-designed all his models so he is happy, but will still bend over backwards for special requests, i could go on for another 10 pages, but after spending two weeks pretty muc on site, and being able to roam at my pleasure, and having my wife and 7 month old enjoy it just as much i'm understandably stoked with my apparent good luck.. he says as the house of cards comes down...lol

Hi everyone, I,ve been looking for this site for ages. We have bought a plot in Q5 -13 very excited about it, we believe the villa has got a roof on so it wont be long before we can go and view. Never has retirement looked as good as it does now. Looking forward to viewing our place in the sun. I would welcome any advice you can throw my way.

Suffice it to say that I made that post "Absolute Basics" because of those clients. If you read "the list", you'll find pretty much everything they weren't given. My hope is that while I am trying to help them as best I can hopefully we can prevent others from getting to where they are now.
