My local lawyer advised me not to buy because of legal issues. I can give you his contact details.

JM Broad... why dont you switch these recent postings about Zen, to the other Zen titled thread , so you can get all those Zen buyers notified about whats being discussed now. Sounds quite intersting, and I think they should have the right to express thier opinions.

Was actually thinking about doing that but then again that post hasn't had any movement for ages now so not sure anyone is still watching (except sunnyshores of course )

Abosultely. This should liven things up a little. Plus, if there is any truth behind any problems, arent these threads menant to educate ? The devoted Zen buyers should have the chance to participate. And from what I read on that Zen thread in the past, some people need some education on Brasil.

Hi Sunnyshores,

Did you by any chance ever get to visit the local authority offices in Touros (question key error)

Must ask Rockerfella, Trump and other land and property billionaires if they always visit prospective investments and stand in a queue to get their registration papers.

Anyway, thanks for your good wishes and when I do visit Brazil I'll be sure to visit all the local authority offices I can find - wouldnt want to sit on the beach enjoying myself instead.

OK, I am here now. I am not an Agent, I actually brought on this Development. So, would be interested to hear about problems as I (and a few I am in contact with) dont seem to have heard anything.

Regards, Debbie

Are you guys in the google group? If so you know who I met out here a couple of weeks ago - Debbie, they mentioned you by name and said that they would brief you on what happened. They are on their way back to England now on a cruise so will only be back in the UK next week.

In the meantime, take a look at the "Absolute Basics" thread which is stickied on the forums and see if that describes the purchasing process you went through and the documentation you have.

If you don't have any or are missing some of the documentation highlighted in that thread then I respectfully suggest you try and get it to avoid issues in the future.

After exchanging messages with the agent responsible for the sale to the clients I met, I have been assured that it was a gross deviation from the norm, that as far as they know all clients have the paperwork and the process is fully legal. I've given the agent all the details and have been assured that he will personally be contacting these clients and ensuring that all their paperwork is corrected for them.

In the light of this conversation and as the clients are currently unreachable - I've retracted my original statements and hope to be able to confirm that the clients have all their paperwork in the very near future by staying in contact with the agent and the clients.

Anyone thinking about purchasing in Brazil or who has purchased in Brazil should definately read the "Absolute Basics" thread to make sure that their purchase in Brazil is legal and safe.
