We've reserved 2 plots in Q3 facing the front..would have preferred one large 450 plot since it's a better price/m2 but want to try to get as close to the beach and facilities as possible. It's my impression from ASCL that quite a few people on this forum have reserved in addition to the 6 mentioned here. I'm not sure they advertised anywhere else before they sold out.

We're waiting for the plans on the ryad style home to be finalized before we commit to a build - like the idea of having an inner courtyard as is the case in a lot of countries in south america and possibly a small upper terrace for viewing/dining on occasion. It seems like one can easily fit 3 smaller bedrooms in 100+sqm of internal space. This is also better for us since we plan to use the property for ourselves and we'd need an extra 2 beds for the kids and any accompanying guests. Hopefully we'd be able to rent it out on occasion when we're not there to cover costs but it wouldn't be essential since we consider it to be a long term investment for our own use.

We liked the fact that it's supposed to be a small development right on the beach within striking distance of Natal. There also seem to be a number of other developments going up nearby so we'll have company. I also liked the fact that the area, owner/builder and quality of build got a such a big thumbs up from Graham when I spoke with him. We plan a trip out there before we commit to a build so we can chose our options. We also liked the fact that the funds are held in escrow pending checks and receipt of title and guarantee on licenses from the IPLC. We looked at coconut grove but it seemed to be quite a distance and the cheaper plots were pretty far back from the beach. Also considered a development south of Salvador but it was bogged down with planning issues.

It's good to hear that there are so many others planning on using their properties as well. I've tried to set up our development on eyeonworldwide for us to share info but they haven't put it on for some reason.

Hi All,just a thought, after land purchase is complete, and using ASCL to verify.would fellow owners be interested in more direct contact(as above list). We could ask ASCL with our permision to pass on our email detail to each other. It could be good for organizing travel talking over detail, etc.Whilst this forum is great,it cannot afford us the privacy and protection with personal matters.
happy easter ,Steve and Sue.

Default Google earth

It looks like they're building in Q6. At least the images are sharper but I think we just got lucky with google earth's recent update. They don't seem to update the images that often.

Hi Steve, thanks - it works great. Its very positive that progress is being made. So many deals are years before they break ground.

None of this is meant as negative, but I have the following observations:

The dirt road running from the roundabout on the left to the lighthouse on the right appears to be between our plots and the communal facilities on the beach. I know it was also on the map of the plots in ASCL brochure, but I hadnt really thought about it. Also the smaller dirt track that runs down the right side of the plots and turns east to the beach. Are they busy roads or potentially busier roads?

Does anyone know what (if anything) is to be built in the immediate area?

Does Zen land extend to the BR101 road?

I did a google search on the lakes - Lago do Coelho and came up with the resort (of the same name) that is being built? There will be 12,000 units inc a 5* hotel !!! prices were about E100,00 for a 2 bed appartment. link to website for info. Welcome to the Lagoa do Coelho Resort

I also did a google search on the nearest town to the west Cajueiro and found a 72 appartment resort (Ponta Resort) that will be built right at the end of the BR101. Priced at E80,000 for a 2 bed. link for info Property for sale in Brazil: Ponta Brasil Beach Resort- Exclusive Beachfront Apartments, property development in Natal, Rio Grande Do Norte
