Thumbs up Zen project

Hi Debbie, Zen land does extend to BR101, and for a few km towards Natal on that road, on both sides of BR101.Having visited in Dec last year, the two dirt roads you mention have no traffic on them at all, unless someone is specifically going to see the lighthouse, we were there two days, and saw a total of 1 car and 4 mopeds on these roads. As for other building nearby, there are a number of apartments when you turn left at the end of BR101, and as mentioned on ASCL website, are being built by an English developer, but unless you actually turn left and drive down that road you will not be able to see them, they will be about 1 mile from Zen, so close enough to visit, but far enough away so as not to cause any problems. Hope this helps. graymax (Graham & Maxine.

I had asked about both of those dirt roads and was told that the one in front leads only to the lighthouse where it ends and that it was rarely used except for the occasional tourist. The other road apparently is not a main road at all and I think he said it was used only by the resort owner and his staff.
ACSL was unsure is anything else was to be built outside the resort but said that the owner was going to take a 4 bed villa on the right corner of the resort so also had a vested interest in making sure the views were'nt obstructed (the owner also owns the land immediately surrounding the resort). I don't know if it extends to BR101.

Thanks Graham & Crew10 - the roads seems fine then. It was also encouraging to see the higher price of the other 2 developments near by and know that Zen will be alot more exclusive and hopefully as its hand finished a better build too. The lake setting does look beautiful, but so many properties - never mind, a great spot for lunch!

Hi everyone,
Another member for this happy clan! I am buying a plot with a friend and hope to build sometime the first half of next year.I know the price will be higher but hopefully not by too much.I really like the sound of this development. This is my second investment in Brazil in a few months and i was not sure at first because of its reputation but this looks to be about as safe as it gets so i am rolling the dice.I have dealt with the solicitor before in Punta Cana and i also like the escrow and stage payment system.
I have also met ascl down in a property seminar in London about 3 years ago and whilst i did not know as much then as i do now,i definitely got the impression that they knew what they were talking about.
I have read on the forums that many developments in brazil are not going ahead or getting cancelled though i think this one definitely will and even if it wont i have been told i will get back any money i have paid or given the choice of an alternative development.I am hoping to get out there over the summer and will take as many photos as possible and post them on the net for everyone.

Hi Sean, welcome to our happy gang - we're all really looking forward to our eco homes in the sun, bbqs and many local spirits! Glad you could join us.
I'm also planning on going out this summer. Not sure of when/where/how yet, will be useful to hear of your plans.

Further research info - the development just south of Natal which will have the David Beckham football Academy and Rubens Barrichelo driving academy in is Cabo São Roque - Natal, Brazil

The Beckham Academy development is located south of Touros, not Natal, in Caraubus. Just so you do not get lost.

It is in the area of Maxanguarape. I have not seen a village of that name in Rio Grande do Norte. Unfortunately a Google search gives you a road in POnta Negra! there is a thread on the subject with links under David Beckam Football academy.

Red face

This is another one to be weiry of.The large overseas developers use famous people,Ronaldo G.S ,Banderas to promote their product. This does not mean the company will survive.A football school with seating for 20,000 people is rediculous in this tiny place, along with the supposedly careful planning thats supposed to go into it.Maxaranguape does not have a beautiful beach and most of the homes on the beach are full of cracks and broken walls at present.

Whatever. I'm certainly not buying because of a football academy.

Anyways, has anyone heard anything about the 3 bed plans yet?
