I find this really strange, I am asking about completion times of a development and you are all debating traffic accidents.

There was a dog killed on my road not so long ago, and the house prices are still going up. Strange.

I find that an improvement of infrastructure is required then, and this will add tot he value of my property, but it doesnt detract from the value being as it is, it is the reason that prices are as they are. People are analysing the movement incorrectly.

JM Broad, which agency do you work for? And where was this sub tropical place you used to live?

Simon, how have you found the project and everything else, and which unit are you buying? Which company are ou using to purchase through?

All the best!

I don't publicly promote the company I work for however I have no need to hide it either - I'll send you a pm with the details.

I lived on the island of Madeira for a number of years. Those that don't know the island should have at least heard of, if not tasted, the wine It's off the coast of Africa but belongs to Portugal with an autonomous government.

Oh and don't worry too much about the traffic discussions, the Brazilian forums are also known as "they who can not stay on topic for more than one page" although we normally revert to flight discussions, not traffic

Are you getting title to the plots or are you buying shares in a company?

I especially liked this for amusement: - Representative and conservative margin showing an annual return on investment of circa 96%

Shares in a company, why would we do that?

100% freehold ownership as an individual.

I don't know why people would buy shares in a company when buying plots, but people do.

I only asked because the developer claims "Representative and conservative margin showing an annual return on investment of circa 96%" which I would question.

The report is prepared for the company by their parent and shareholders.

I got the document on special request and asked eprmission to freely distribute it.

The document is not neccesarily for the clients, so that is why it may be relevant to companies.

It is to show what we are buying into, not specifics of our own particular investment.

I have found the company, like you simon, to be very helpful and level minded. I hope this document will help people.

Thank you all-

What I find strange is that you appeared to make a comment that brazil may not be for wolfgang because he simply stated that it's not too smart to drive on the roads at night here and anyone that has more than a few 24 hrs of experience living in Brazil well knows that the advice he gave isn't only very good advice but can actually save lives.

The problem with most foreigners (europeans and north americans) that invest in Brazil that intend on spending time here as well, anywhere from a couple of weeks to six months or more per year, is that most are under the presumption that Brazil is similiar to their own countries, where crime, corruption, and bad infrastructure doesn't exist in epidemic-like numbers.
