Forteleza is a lot safer, but it has only been so in the last year because of the overhaul of the police department.

Debzor, sorry to hear about what happened to you that really sucks.

Cheers, Rob.

Can you give more details on what you mean by the overhaul of the police department in Fortaleza?

Debzor,

What I was told is that the wages of policemen were doubled, bad cops are being weeded out, new cops are being recruited and modern equipment is being purchased which is why you will see lots of policemen in shiny new cars with lots of flashing lights and sound effects .

So far crime has dropped considerably but they still have a way to go.

Regards,
Rob

Salvador is a beautiful city that is full of character and very much alive .It has stunning beaches, food, music, cultural events and great historical heritage.

At times it can be violent as anywhere else,Recife is a dangerous city and has been for yrs.It has never put me off visiting either . Beaches all along the coast of Bahia are immense and I can see why it is becoming a great destination to travel to and invest,if a bit costly.

To avoid robberies be discreet, don't take lots of money with you and never where jewellery and of course be very nice. A smile goes a long way.

You have been on my ignore list for a while and I have enjoyed the peace and quiet, but really you don't have to keep being ironic I mean you do want customers and many are on this forum,so you really should be ALWAYS showing your nicer side on here.

I am not sure what ignore list you are talking about, but if i put you on my ignore list then magically your posts disappear , but i can still read your posts if i want by clicking them .

So if you have put me on your ignore list you must be clicking each of my messages to read them ..... which defeats the purpose of an ignore list and makes you even nuttier than i thought .

No ,they automatically appear until you log in and THEN they disappear,so yes not sure what the purpose is of an ignore list as one can read everything anyway.
