Hi Magbon,
I have also invested in Jacuma Beach Resort, I signed and payed my first installment way back in December.
I have also started a group on Facebook called 'Jacuma Beach Resort' hoping to speak/meet with other investors, I have addedd news threads and pictures to it. It hasnt been as popular as I had hoped though, but its still worth a look, even if you dont join.
I would be very interested in seeing new pictures or hearing any news updates any one has on the project.
I am also thinking about going over again in July sometime. Last time I flew with TAP from Heathrow to Natal but this was pretty expensive. Does any one know of any alternatives for me to fly to Natal from Manchester or any other northern Airport?
Many Thanks
Mark

They hadn't started when I looked at the site 3 weeks ago unlike the adjoining site 'Jacuma Golf Village' which is 90% complete.

The developer told us that because Sol Melia (Big Spanish Hotel Group) are now getting on board and will be running the hotel within the development, they have had to make some improvements to the infrastructure as part of the deal with Sol Melia. Something about hydraulic bins was mentioned.

This is why they haven't started yet however as mentioned they expect to start at the end of this month, beginning of next month.

The one next door was already well advanced when I was there in November.

Hello everyone,
I have reserved a one bed apartment at 83,000 Euros in Jacuma and I am exchanging contracts this coming Tuesday 13th May. I have a clause in my contract about a minimum contractual exchange rate of 2.50 Brazilian Reals for 1 Euro in case the rate drops below that level in future.( a bit confusing for me ).Is it the same for everyone or have you just bought at a fixed price in Sterling or in Euros not to be affected by any currency fluctuation until completion date.Thank you.

I also have invested in Jacuma Beach Resort.
Is there a site from the developer where you can see the evolution of the plants ?

Hi Karine,

I don't really understand your question, are you asking about how the plans have changed because of Sol Melia's involvement or how the building is progressing?

Regarding building work, things are only just now starting so there isn't any real progress to show. If you ask me again in a month I will send you what we have got then.

Regards,
Rob.

Hi Mark,

Glad to hear about your investment in Jacuma Beach Resort.

I am thinking about doing the same, however I was wondering what due dilligence you carried out - specifically in terms of schedule commitments by the developer, as well as the developer's profile, history and stability.

Thanks
J.I.T.

Default The Developer

Jiten,

I have done some research and the project does look good (on the surface), however I am finding it hard to obtain any information for the developer.

Has anyone carried out any research on the developer (Paraisos Do Brazil) and of their financial strength? Given the developer is spanish and that this seems to be their first international venture it is crucial that we know of their history.

So far I have only seen the marketing material on their website, but no other official information to validate it.

My fear is that the developer could be very dodgy and could run off with our money.

Any thoughts?

Hi Billie,

That is a worrying thought for such a high-profile opportunity.

Their website does state that Grupo Erosten is the parent company. Anyone know anything about them and their history?

I can't find anything on the web, therefore am getting concerned about whether they exist!!

Would love to hear the thoughts of those who have already invested.

Thanks
J.I.T.
