Thank you for your warm message.

Were you the person who gave me a thumbs down for being "too pessimistic" some months ago? If so I hope that you feel quite ashamed of yourself today!

More seriously, the worst case scenario does seem to be playing itself out and even the pessimists like myself are sometimes shocked at how bad things have turned out to be.

At this point point I have nothing much else to add. I have no idea how long this thing will take to play out nor what kind of a world we will wake up to once it is over.

I had been following the equity markets and they gave the signs of the downturn before it was actually felt on the ground. So far they have shown no sign of a turnaround so the downward spiral seems set to continue

Not much else to add I'm afraid. I am as perplexed as everybody else is today.
