Default Sunset Resort Pomorie

Anyone bought in Sunset Resort, Pomorie and waiting for their original deposit back after development went bust and taken over by PDI?

Please note that Sunset resort is superb and the people who purchased there have double their money, the people who are waiting for their money back is from the dutch company that own it and not PDI

Cheers

I cannot comment on whethe superb resort or not but seriously doubt those who purchased have doubled their money. This is totally untrue. Have you tried selling an apartment there and got double? I doubt it! No resale market along the coast. Also for your information, having seen legal paperwork, the refund is due from PDI as they entered into a three way agreement with Dutch company and owners to take over all liabilities and have subsequently offered in writing the refund. They have constantly delayed on this and are now trying to get out of it. I am looking to commence legal action for a couple of clients to get their deposits back.

I did a travel at the southern black sea and it was terrible! They are building everywhere right now in the middle of the season - heavy machines everywhere, it's dirty, noisy, and ****ty, all the beaches are private properties and surrounded with wires which is illegal but that's the 3rd world anyway...
I don't say that the nature is not good - it's perfect! I love it! I just say that the whole southern seaside is overdeveloped and overbuilt...and it continues! They are even starting to build in a national red zone park called Strandja mountain with unique animal species remained from the ice age! Terrrible...

We are not sure though that what travelbug states about deposits being determined by PDI is strictly true. I am not sure, but I do not believe, travelbug is a Bulgarian lawyer nor a UK lawyer, so one has to ask who is this to advise?

Nonetheless they are right, please reply within the topic.

For your information, I was actually a UK lawyer. I have seen all the documentation between the investor and PDI and it does not take a genius to understand that PDI signed a three way agreement with the Dutch company that went bust and the investor, stating they were taking over all liabilities. In any case there have been subsequent letters in which the investor had to choose an option from PDI as to what they wanted - one option was to have their deposit refunded. PDI and/or the Bulgarian company Sunset Resort were to make this refund.

Not much point in you making these pointless comments trying to undermine me is there really. So maybe you could refrain from posting unless you actually have something worthwhile to say as you obviously know nothing about the situation.

I am one of a group of 20 or so people who invested in this project and when it was taken over were offered the choice of continuing or our money back. We chose to receive our money back. A few years on we're still waiting. We're owed over £250,000 between us all. We've formed a new action group to pursue the refunds. Watch this space...

Why is it that when the real situation is exposed then Platinum Development Ltd go quiet? Hello, anyone there??!!!!!

They know what they are up to and don't want bad publicity. I understand that some of their senior management are public figures so one would think that promises would be honoured!
