buying property these days... best real estate to buy is a property you can actually see, and buying from off plan small developments... hmmmm?

Hi Ari and Dan

Welcome on board. I'm not surprised you enjoyed Borovets!

By all accounts from the weather forecasts, we'll be having plenty of snow out here this winter

Cheers, Jain

Hi everyone. This forum makes for some interesting reading.
I own an apartmentment in Dragalevtsi, Sofia. I have had to many problems with it to mention them all but a brief outline is that I bought it off plan in 2003. It is in a good location but the developer hasn't yet completed the build (of just 9 Apartments) and here we are 4 years on.
Although my apartment is as complete as it is likely to be, some of the others are virtually just a shell. My agent has been extremely evasive since the final payment was made some time ago and now I have been told that the developer is not going to complete the build.I can't find an agent to manage the place for me and I feel like burying my head in the sand! I don't know who to turn to. Help!

Default Bulgaria say Hi

Hi all hope you are all well.
I expect many of you are at differant stages of your developments, and buying in differant places all over Bulgaria.
I have heard the good and bad side to Bulgaria, but for me it gives me a chance to have a place to call my own, Where I can Holiday at leisure
all at a reasonable cost.
Sure there will be problems, but I am happy with them.
My apartments are 1 in sunny beach.. Sunset beach 2 the other
in Ravda at a little more Quieter part called Almera complex.
I have not even visited Bulgaria yet, but been to Turkey where I have land,
Cant be much in it?
Anyway Good luck to you all, and I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has an apartment on any of these complex's, or anywhere else for that matter. looking forward to going.
Geoff::

Hello Geoffrey, welcome to the site. I think you'll find some people who have bought in the same developments as you.

As you say, Bulgaria's a great to have a place of your own at an affordable price

All the best

Hi all, Wishing everyone a profitable New Year. (if this is your aim)
Question? How much do you expect to make per annum from investment, or are you just happy to live somewhere that allows you to be yourselves. Surely this is more profitable, than monetary wealth. Somewhere you can drive withour fear of losing your licence around every corner, no pretentious people with only views of what i have, and not who i am, as a person. These things cannot be bought. I love Bulgaria and the derelict house i call home.
