Bulgaria the right choice

Hello Everybody,

I am Bulgarian but 8 years of my life passed in Florence (Italy). Recently I moved back to Bulgaria, and I realized that a lot of British people have already invested in properties in Bulgaria. I personally know several British families living in my area.

Why so many foreigners are buying properties in Bulgaria??? Here's the reason.. Bulgaria is a country with wonderful nature, in some parts it is completely wild. Mountains, hills, forests, sea... untouched from the human beings. But there are also many modern and civilized cities, sea and ski resorts, casinos, hotels etc... This is what the real Bulgaria is. A combination between wild nature and civilization. But the major assets of this country are the low cost of living and cheap properties.

I would like to show you these four really beautiful houses in Bulgaria. They are situated in the North part near Danube river, 1 hour and a half drive from the capital Sofia. They are all with solid and stable constructions. Some of them have an additional building in their gardens. The area is very picturesque (forests, hills) but it is also with good communications and closed to many facilities.

True andy very true but not only that its business too, the chance to make money thats why british are investing there, not conning and stealing but investing their hard earned money there. Because they are doing that why does that make every bulgarian i have met think that it is open season on the british, as a bulgarian i met and who i thought was ok before he tried every tactic to empty my pocket of money said " everybody (bulgarians) knows the English are loaded and stingy". They got this attitude So they try to use them for money, smile in their face while they got their hand in their pockets

I know you are very angry at what has happened with your property purchases in Bulgaria but I don't think that it's fair to tar everyone in a country with the same brush.

To the Bulgarians, everyone outside of Bulgaria coming from the west would appear "loaded" of course. But this really does not mean that every Bulgarian is out there to steal from you.

We have the most wonderful neighbours who have assisted us no end here, yet never take a stotinki for anything they do for us. We've made great friends here too - people who would not dream of conning you at all and indeed hate the fact that people have perhaps been cheated by developers here.

I'm sorry you've had a bad time but saying that all Bulgarians "think that it is open season on the british" is a far too sweeping and unfair statement.

Ok your right, lets put it this way, most of the bulgarians i have met through buying my property are like this because i have been buying a place there. Maybe i have met the wrong type, crooks, because they want to rob ,steal and con people of money, so they have made sure that they are where they might be able to rob and con someone, so they have made sure they are in the property game because that was booming in bulgaria.

I have about 10 bulgarian friends over here. My mate was married to a bulgarian girl, one of my bulgarian friends is a singer called nasso who used to be in a bulgarian band called the baby face clan. They where the biggest band in bulgaria. He is over here with his partner ivo in a band called the imbeciles, When nasso goes to bulgaria he is treated like a superstar. I have been there many times and met many bulgarian people, most are not like that but there a hell of a lot that are.

They count on the fact that we are here and the property is there and the distance in between and think that they can just vanish and never be found again. But there are more people in london than the whole of the country so they can be found.

They are just small minded petty thieves out for what they can get. I even had the agent who stole my money call me a sucker when i caught him on skype.

He is a liar and a loser who had forever keep looking over his shoulder, in case i am there, and the fact that the property market has dropped over here is making me happy because he cannot earn or cheat anyone else

Maybe you judge from your personal experience, but a lot of people would take your words as insult as I do, so please do not put all of us in the same basket.
The thing is that it is few of you who have been writing in this forum and complain about what have happened to you and you are right about it, but to insult us, to tell us we are thieves trying to empty your pockets is a little bit more of what we can swallow, you know what i mean.

I have lived in Britain and can say i know British people, also I work in Sunny Beach and know most of the tourist coming here as well, but will keep my words for me , because we all know what is it about.
There are nasty, bad people everywhere, in UK there are many more than in Bulgaria for the simple reason that the population there is around 80 million and here is just 7 million.
You have all the right to be angry, but just think a little bit when you say bad words, because I think the good people in Bulgaria are much more than the thieves, etc.

Do you know who are the big thieves? The government and the politics - they have stolen millions EURO, but the problem is the Bulgarian people only complain, but do nothing!

Runchev please accept my apology, the thieves i was talking about are the thieves that stole from me and will from anyone. The majority of Bulgarian people are not like this, they are honest people who will do a good deed to anyone who needs help, without thought for themselves.

Yes i am angry and annoyed that this has happened to me. It may seem like i am blaming all, but i am blaming a minority. I will chose my word more carefully.

Yes i know the real thieves are the politicians and the people in power, it has always been them and always will. But did you know that the EU has frozen the money it has given to Bulgaria because of corruption from the very same people you mentioned but that will only effect the Bulgarian people, who lives it was meant to better.
