Default Channel 4 Selling Houses Abroad

Hello I am working on a channel 4 property programme called "SELLING HOUSES ABROAD" I am interested in hearing about people's success stories in overseas property investment as well as anyone's bad investment experience to feature in the new series.

Equally if anyone is thinking of investing in overseas property and is not yet decided where to invest their money, our property expert Andrew Winter can offer some guidance to help make the right decision.

If anyone is interested then please get in touch with me on 01273 224 825 or you can private message me

Hi Sally my name is Peter Mitry and I am an experienced property investor now living on the Costa del Sol. Although born in the UK my father was Egyptian and I am fascinated by what I see as an emerging market for property investors on the Red Sea Coast. I do have my own investment property company and I am working exclusively in the Spanish market with the foremost Developer in the Egyptian market, Resort Alliance. Their resort project near to Hurghada is known as Sahl Hasheesh and it is one of the most important tourist development projects in Egypt and is attracting significant help and support from the government.
The project consists of 32 million m2 in a gated community with 12km of private coastline. Creating the infrastructure for this mammoth project began with the building of a desalination plant and a workers city to house the 18,000 construction workers to be employed in the project. When complete there will be 15 five star hotels, a seven star hotel to be built by the King of Jordan, four 18 hole golf courses, a worldclass marina, a sunken city for divers, a fabulous pier for marine watching and for the dive boats that will access the offshore coral reef.
There will be a central piazza for outdoor concerts, craft markets and other events; this is already finished and is large enough to fit Wembley stadium inside! There will be a farmers market, 500 Designer shops & restaurants a casino and cinema complex.
This is set to be one of the finest investment opportunities since Spain 30 years ago or Dubai and is definately worthy of your attention. We have just formed a new 'Egypt' property section within the Totally Property Forum and I hope that you will become a regular visitor. Please PM me if I can be of further help or you would like further information. You can call me on 0034 952 891 924 or Email me on peter@mitry.com.

Hi Sally,

I work selling and renovating property in Bulgaria. I also personally own 8 houses here, soon to be nine and with a couple of friends am buying land for investment and development. I have had good and bad experiences here (I live here now). I have tried the new build apartment and pulled out adn sued the agency, I have had a terrible experience with a builder but now have a good team I work with. You live and learn. Most of my experiences are chronicled on my website at Cheap Bulgarian Properties for Sale in the Stara Zagora region

Exclamation

Hi

for those who have not heard of us, we are Simon and Vikki and we are based in the UK.

Our parents purchased a property in the TRNC over 3 years ago and to date have nothing to show for their maney, just a very large loan for £150,000 that they (in failing health) are struggling to pay on their meagre pensions.

We are hoping that this group will be able to lead or advise those as to the possible pitfalls that may occur when purchasing in Northern Cyprus

The country is truly beautiful and the people also, but there are many unscrupulous characters lurking including Developers, Estate Agents and more worringly even Lawyers

We work closly with "The Home Buyers Pressure Group"

hbpg-trnc.net

who have loads of very important information on their site.

Our site is

trncpropertywarning.freewebsites.com

Takes a little time to load but well worth the wait.

All we ask is for true stories (that can be backed with documentry evidence if required) good or bad, also nominations for "Good and Bad Guys" again with evidence should it be needed.

We look forward to welcoming you

and if we can help 1 person

NOT TO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES AS OUR PARENTS

Default Suggestion for episode - "Selling Houses Abroad"

Hi Sally,
I have a suggestion for an episode. The Messinia region in the south of Greece is planned to become the premier golfing holiday destination in Bulkans & Mediterranean over the next few years. It will comprise of several championship golf courses, luxury hotel and resort devalopments in a beautiful beach side town of Pylos and Gialova. Areas still relavievely untouched by major tourism. Beautiful climate, unspoilt sandy beaches, amazing sea views...that kind of thing.

It is one of the biggest tourism investment projects in europe, and the biggest in Greece in 20 years. Naturally this is pushing local property prices up (30% in the last year) as people are snapping up land and property in the area to be close to the golf resorts. The first stage to be opened in September 2008. However property prices are still relatively affordable.

Thought it would make for an interesting episode as an area of interest for potential investors, or gofing holiday makers. As golfing tourism is currently booming in europe.

Have a look at the 2 links i have below for more info about it. There are many more web sites with infomation about the devalopments on the net.

look forward to your reply.

Cheers,
Ross.

So, the "south of Greece is set to become the premier golfing holiday destination in the.... Mediterranean". I think the tourist authorities in Spain & Portugal might disagree with that statement.
