One area of the Caribbean that has been overlooked for years until now is the Island of Bocas Del Toro on the Caribbean side of Panama.

We just carried out an analysis of real estate developments active in Bocas del Toro and looked at the median price for different property categories against the country medians. We found the following to be above the country median - beachfront lots, ocean view condos and waterfront (eg lagoon) condos. Ocean view lots and ocean view houses were well below country medians. (Data price per sq/ft July to September 2008 for major real estate developments actively targeting international investors)
