Straight Forward, 3 weeks to get an appointment. Actual process 20 minutes.
Delay will be getting an appointment with Nakheel to transfer property presently running around 4 weeks. Transfer is done in the Nakheel sales office on Beach Road just before Palm turn off. If you can not be there in person organize a person to sign on your behalf with Power Of Attorney. Easy to organize.

At transfer you will need building owner ,seller and buyer. If Power of Attorney has been given then this can be done for any of the parties. So if you are told owner is out of the country your being given the run around.

Documents required for transfer
Unit Sales Purchase Agreement
Passport
Sales Contract

Buyer pays the following charges
2% Sale price Nakheel
2% Agent Commission
2% Sales Price fee to Building Owner for showing up and signing transfer

If you are dealing with an Agency chose one of the more reputable and accountable agencies.

If you are doing a private sale careful with personal cheque's. A Bank Managers Cheque is a safe bet.

To Sum up process is stream lined and straight forward only problem is getting an appointment to do the transfer with Nakheel.
