Dear All

With reference to Shahr guidance in page 12, I had gone to RERA in November,2011, got the Oqood certificate and then went to RERA trust account department to meet Mr.Obaid or Mrs.Fatemah, the receptionist after checking the computer said that there is no money in the Reliance Trust account. Then I met Ms. Fatemah, she informed me that there is some money left in the account, they are working on returning the money for another project. Once the turn of Reliance projects come, they will divide the money that is left in the account . My perception is that we will get something back from Rera trust account if we have deposited the money to the trust account but how much nobody can predict.

Does anyone has more updated news.

I think these are not bad news and we can be hopeful !!!

I went to RERA, in the second floor of the Land Department, and asked there about Oqood, they led me to the first floor, the room No 9. there a woman at a computer, just asked my name and the name of my project, and my unit No., and without checking my documents, printed a copy of my initial contract(Oqood) for me. She said that the Developer had registered the buyers in RERA and all of our profiles were there. therefore:
1) you can get your Oqood in two minutes without paying any fee.
2) we have been recognised by RERA

Then, for asking about the future of our investments, they led me to the office of Mr. Khalid Obaid (Senior Director Real Estate Development Trust Account Department) , there I met Mrs Fatemeh Al Eyvazi (his deputy). she told me that:
1) all of our money is by RERA
2) we don't need to go to court because :
- our projects have been cancelled
- by having Oqood we have been recognized by RERA
- our money is by rera
3) they will refund us but not completely, only by some percent (it is not determind yet), and we must wait at least 6 month. she said if we accept this money at that time, this is the end, but if we refuse, then we need to go to court, and wait till RERA sell the land and pay our total money.
4) all of us must Email our full adress in our country to the customer service, Mr. Hamed, so they can contact us. the form and email adress is attached.

therefore:
1) Email your adress as by the attached form to Mr. Hamed, imediately
2) go to dubai, and get a copy of your initial contract (Oqood)
3) prepare a complain letter to Mr. Edrisi (preffered in Arabic) which it is consisted of your profile, your project name, the money which has been paid, and that the project has been cancelled, ... and requesting for refunding your money. Attach your initial contract and your project cancellation doc. and deliver it to the Mr. edrisi office. you can prepare such a letter in the typing center next to land department.
4) Meet Mr. Obaid or Mrs. Fatemeh for getting information

Adresses:
Land Department: bani yas road, Omar Khatab st., near etesalat
Rera: the second floor of Land Department, MR obeid or Mrs fatemeh
Oqood: first floor of Land Department, Room no. 9
Delivering complains: Mr. Edrisi office, at the right of main entrance of land dept. (kateb Al Adl)
Customer service: ground floor of land dept., Mr. Hamed
Dear Mr/Ms.Shahr. Thanks for the advise. I had followed the action. Were you able to go back again to learn when they would return the money from the trust account. It would be highly appreciated if you could share the information

Dear Sahmad

I'm glad you could get your Oqood. I was also in Nov. in dubai land department (DLD), but unfortunately they said nothing more than that we should be waiting untill they themselves inform us by emails which we have already sent them (as Arash explained in forum No.136).
But recently I've read a news as follows:
RERA has started the process of auditing developers and account trustees as of the beginning of 2010. RERA has set 31 January 2012 as a deadline to deliver audited financial reports for the fiscal year 2011. the adress of the site which you can find this news is:
http://www.zawya.com/cm/company_news.cfm/cid1001048/

I think, if our case is included, it is expected to get some answers of DLD after 31 jan 2012. It could be checked by one of investors who lives in dubai and would be kind to inform us.

and some thing more: if RERA decides to pay us, they will pay it from the developer's deposits which there is by DLD for opening reliance trust accounts, because as we all know, the trust account is empty.

Hi every one,
I would like to be included in all your actions against these persons as I am also a “lucky” investor, I bought the Unit 1 of Reliance 9, in 2008, but unfortunately I have realised too late about this mess. If anyone can tell/update me what is the current status and what action should I start with. I am not based in Dubai.
Thank you and let’s hope we bring these two persons in front of justice.

Default New Information for Reliance

Dear all Reliance Investers,
I'm purchaser of 3 units in R4. I've lost more than half million dirham. The latest information for recovery of our money..........
I visited Land Deptt. in Oct. 2011, when Fatima Awazi told me not to come further to Dubai rather she'll inform me on my contact numbers to send the necessary documents. She said most likely term of Reliance will come by 2011 end. When nothing happened, I called her this Jan.on her landline to ask her why there is delay. She said We\ll ask for ur documents probably by May2012.
Dear members, don't get disheartene, Your money in Escrow A/C(Trust A/C) is certainly safe, because Looter Rahavi could not take a single Dirham from Trust A/C. However if u sent money to his personal A/C then you will get a share of it. I took a certificate from bank that my money is still in Escrow A/C.
I've been calling Fatima on her LL 100 times but she never replies. If a member of this Forum, living in Dubai, visits her every 2 weeks or at least once monthly, just to find out when she'll ask for documents, it will be great help to all members, of course if he/she informs all of us.
They'll publish in local news papers, the date for sending the documents, which certainly will not be read by members living abroad. Therefore, please, members living in Dubai, inform all of us by posting a thread on this forum.
