Good investment with $ 100K in Dubai

Have a look at all the threads as you will pick up info from each one. also it is a good way to make sure the info you read in 1 thread is consistent with what you read in another thread.

I agree that sports city is a great investment.
I also agree that off-plan would be the way to go for you
Abu Dhabi is great to invest in, but you will have to stay in the project for the duration to maximise the returns.
Check out the residential apartments in Jumeirah Village as they are more affordable.

What about City of Arabia? It seems that the project is VERY delayed. Is it a good opportunity?

Most projects in Dubai are delayed by atleast a year or more, donot expect compensation, also with about 100K, you would just about be able to get a studio in IC, the good thing with that ivestment is that you would receive income from rent almost immediataely, returns at about 8% net plus capital appreciation @ 8-10% p.a., also with not many low end housing looking to come into the market & the possiblilty of new laws removing existing rent cap laws returns in the next few years could be higher.
the other option for you would be to invest in a well selling offplan property, when your investment through payments reaches 100k you can sell, many a times in a 1 year period you will receive a fair return, not fixed, but can be very profitable if you decide to cycle your money that way.
the third option, though not well known, is to invest/buy shares in companies that invest in real estate, one such complany sells one share at Dhs. 200k approx $60k. but again not much is known about it
