A few guys pottering about the first floor of a 45-storey building? Pull the other one!

A good post by AbdulHafeez from another forum, about his site visit to CoA:

"Been to site with lawyers personally (Sunil Thacker and Saif Al Shamsi of TLG). The project has been cancelled unoffically (when I asked a few people on site) and this project is going nowhere. Unfortunately it seems that most buyers are residing outside of UAE. Site photos cannot reveal the whole story, the drive around and inside the project clearly made me feel its 'dead'. "

Default 4 Tower to be completed 2012

Went to see the site June 10 and can con firm wadi tower is coming up slowly.
Also I was informed that construction of MT and I&M towers will start shortly.
4 towers to be completed and all this talk about the project has been cancled is simply not correct. 2 more years and the first 4 towers will be completed.

City of Arabia Our projects

The question is, is this a genuine restart of the project? Will it continue for a few weeks then stop, like it did last time and the time before?

Default Wadi tower

Guys

I got in touch with RERA with regards to COA projects, the advice they offered was: Based on the amount of investors complains to RERA, RERA may be able to cancel the whole project.

Even though it is good that they have started construction again on certain project in COA, however there is no guarantee that they will carry on. They might stop again any time.

Anyone interested in writing to RERA complaining about the COA projects, the more the better, may be we can arrange for this together?

If the whole project is cancelled, what are our rights, will we get back our down
payment ?

Or if the idividual project like I & M Tower is cancelled, what are our rights, will we get back our down
payment ?

what I have been told, is you should get all your money back if the project has not hit 60% completion. You may want to double check that yourself as well.

No one will give you any money back voluntarily. That is wishful thinking. The only chance is collective action - see earlier posts on this thread.
