Where did you get this picture and how it is reliable?
Does MED tell you something about it?

I kept asking MED about the progress of Arbian Crwone and windsor but no response for last couple of months. I can't believe this picture shows they are doing somthing now.

Ooooh….. You live in the future!
Any way I have seen some cranes around the area 6 months ago.
Mall of Arabia will start construction if Dubai mall is success. For the time being the mall is on hold.

Well the atlantis hotel is not 40 floors high first of all. Secondly it started in late 2005 and opened this month so not 30 months and definitely not 20!

Also now with the scarcity of materials, etc, you can expect stuff to be built slower than before.

Go to skyscrapercity and look at the progress of the average tower and you'll see I'm right. Of course there are some towers that are built very fast, am not saying it's not possible, just not probable.

If you're very lucky you'll see one year for ground work and maybe a basement level or two, one year and say 3 months for topping out, then 9 months for completion. This is in an ideal scenario where there are no delays, manpower and resource problems whatsoever, and that the contractor they hire is a good one like arabtec.

Default reality

20 months to build - without delays.

However, it will not be Arabtec. Too much work on and IMG will go for one of these 2 bit outfits, cancel the gym and the less said about the 'luxury bath' the better. It will be Discover gardens (chipboard, cheap tiles and dodgy plumbing).

If anyone thinks otherwise they can have my 2 bed for what i paid if they pay the fees. that is 100,000 us dollars under current IMG price. Any takers - thought not.

Default Officially depressed

just reading gulf news - predicts a slow down in mega projects, especially non government ones.

Why oh why did I not just get JLT or just keep the cash in the bank.

What happens if you cancel. do you lose all the deposit or just a % of it. Might walk away if can get 50% of it back and just chalk it up to a bad decision.
