Hi!!
this is a great idea by Ranzeer and Noor. We all will be benefited by your analysis and predictions. I also have a flat in France and hope that it will be completed this year.
Regards.

Yes but one can work and get a labor card from the compnay they work with which is an easier process and gives flexibility to the person to change jobs when ever he/she pleases without having to go through the silly ban as the nakheel resident visa is the same as when one is on husband's visa. The difference is that instead of your husband being your sponsor nakheel becomes your sponsor.

Hi Vikram ,

Doyou mean to say that our pasports will have two type of resident visa, one -investor's visa and another a resident visa.I dont really think that this works but then I can be completely wrong. How can one make sure about this.Is there some person from Nakheel who can clarify this matter.

Default GEtting Nakheel Visa

This looks totally absurd. I dont think one can have 2 visas on his/her passport. You have to cancel your visa whether some company is your sponsor or your husband. Then you will apply to Nakheel for their visa. The only difference is that with Nakheel you have to pay 7000/-Dhs for 3 years while in the other case its almost free.

The other thing suppose we get the Nakheel visa by paying 7000/-dhs. Now If i want to sponsor my wife and kids, Do I have to pay 7000/- for each of them or 10000/- deposit as someone has mentioned above? This is not clear with me, Please clarify.
Personally It looks to me that getting a Nakheel visa for the working expatriates is not a much viable option since its a bit costlier. And moreover visa rules here are relaxed now, one can change job easily. So why should we go for Nakheel visa? Whats the advantage? Please guide.

Ok I got some answers from an agent who confirms what what zombie has said that the visa we will be getting from nakheel is an investor's visa and we cannot go and apply for a job and just have a labor card as in the case when one is on husband's visa ,howver this does not seem very fair as it is the same amount one has to pay for a work visa here in dubai and if this is the case then it is really not worth going to nakheel for a visa.

that is exactly why I was questioning the idea of you transfering from your husband's sponsorship to this.

BTW a UAE Residence Visa is of three types, they are Employment Visa(Visa sponsored directly by your employer), Spouse/Children(Sponsored by the spouse who is employed in UAE, a wife can work in the UAE, provided her employer secures her a labour card) & lastly Investor Category(Investment can be in Property, Business etc., a person cannot work, but can sponsor spouse/children, can operate bank accounts, own cars etc.)

There are various fee structures for all these, please check with The Residency division in your emirate for these.

The question of fair doesn't arise, there are various reasons for it, some good, some stupid, take the good with the bad.

Hope this clarifies some issues which ppl have, take care & happy investing

Vikram
